Why we do it

We believe that the world was created good and that all people are created in the Image of God and therefore have an inherent dignity and value.

We believe that all people have a unique role and responsibility in taking care of the world and each other. Though the world was created good, there are many problems and challenges as a result of people not properly fulfilling this role. We want people to take responsibility for themselves and the role they have in caring for their neighbor and stewarding creation.

We affirm the practice of asset based development, as we believe that God has provided for the needs of every person and community. We believe that the work we are called to do is impossible for us to do alone. We all need grace.

We believe that people are meant to live, work and create in community. We want to facilitate the development of communities of people who realize their dignity, take responsibility and experience grace.
